About the American Bookbinders Museum
The American Bookbinders Museum is the only museum in North America dedicated to preserving and promoting the art and history of bookbinding. Visitors can explore the evolution of bookbinding, from hand processes of the 16th century to the advent of mechanization, through exhibits featuring historical equipment and techniques.
The museum offers a unique glimpse into the craftsmanship that has shaped the production of books over centuries, highlighting the cultural and historical significance of bookbinding in the dissemination of knowledge.

FREE ADMISSION
When is admission free at American Bookbinders Museum?
A family of up to four people can visit the American Bookbinders Museum at no charge by presenting a SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card.
Additionally, while general admission typically requires a ticket purchase, the museum’s shop and special exhibit gallery are free and open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM.
